Enjoy Cleansing Comfort
When you picture a sauna, you might think of a small steamy room that feels overwhelming. Instead, imagine a comfortable wooden bench, gentle warmth that heats you from the inside out, a breathable space and an instant sense of relaxation for your mind and body. That is the experience of an infrared sauna.
Our cleansing clinic features a Full Spectrum Sauna by an Australian-owned company, Found Space. This modern sauna has a full glass front that creates a spacious feel, plus colour light therapy and Bluetooth so you can enjoy calming sounds or something uplifting. There is also a holder for essential oils to enhance the atmosphere and create a soothing environment.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are infrared saunas safe?
Yes, infrared saunas are safe for most people to use. However, there are a few things to keep in mind if you have certain health conditions or are pregnant. Consult with your healthcare practitioner before using an infrared sauna if you have any concerns. Other than that, just be sure to drink plenty of water and stay hydrated while using the sauna.
How long should an infrared sauna treatment last?
There is no definitive answer to this question as it will vary depending on the individual and their specific goals. In the clinic, there are two Infrared Sauna session offerings. Some people will find that 20 minutes per session is a good starting point; this is the Express session. Those who are seeking more intense detoxification or other health benefits may want to increase their time to 45 minutes per session, this is the most popular. As always, be sure to listen to your body and stop if you feel any discomfort.
What do I need to wear/bring?
It isn't necessary to wear any clothing in the sauna. If you do wear a bikini or shorts etc bring a plastic bag to take the wet items home in. Towels are provided. If you have any essential oils, bring them for use in the designated oil holder in the sauna. Most importantly, please bring a large 1L bottle of water to consume during your sauna session.
Assisting Recovery & Rejuvenation
Saunas support the body’s natural detoxification processes by promoting sweating and helping cleanse the skin. Infrared saunas build on this by directing gentle infrared heat toward subdermal fat cells. While you sweat, the infrared light also targets impurities stored within these cells that may otherwise be difficult for the body to release. Infrared sessions can support the lymphatic system, assist with general weight management efforts, ease muscle and joint discomfort, reduce stress and fatigue and contribute to improved skin tone and texture.
Infrared sauna use also encourages circulation, which supports physical recovery. The heat can stimulate the release of heat shock proteins that contribute to muscle conditioning and may help increase endurance by extending the body’s time to fatigue. Heat exposure is also known to trigger the release of chemicals associated with the feeling often described as a runner’s high. As a result, infrared saunas provide a practical way to support performance while promoting relaxation.
During a session, white blood cell activity can increase, which suggests a supportive effect on the body’s natural defence responses.
Enjoy Myriad Benefits
Without sunlight, life would cease to exist. Only a small percentage of all sunlight is visible and less than 2% of that is infrared. Using our Found Space Far Infrared Sauna is like getting a dose of sunlight without the ultraviolet light that burns your skin. We feel infrared light as heat. Infrared warms the body directly, heating you at a comfortable and steady rate which can help elevate cardiovascular activity and support the release of heavy metals, toxins and other built-up waste through sweat. An infrared sauna is different to steam or hot rock saunas. It heats the body at a more comfortable temperature (40 to 70°C) without filling your lungs with hot steam that can often reach up to 90°C.
